Head Coach - Kendall Roper
  • English teacher at Meridian High School.

  • Year #2 as MHS Head Golf Coach

With all the fun and high level of competition that our team experienced last year, I am anticipating another fabulous year. I can't wait to meet new players that make the team  as well as welcome veteran returners from last season.

I am originally from southeastern Kansas where I went to nearby Coffeyville Community College on a football scholarship. My wife, Brittany (who also teaches at MHS), and I moved to Meridian after 10 years of living in Lawrence, KS where we met and attended the University of Kansas together. In addition to teaching, I coached football and track for a few years in the Topeka, KS area. Our first child, Jonah, was born in February 2018 and we have 2 dogs that we treat like children as well.

Assistant Coach - Ryan Titus
  • Part-owner in a booming, Amazon.com tape-selling business.

  • Year #5 as MHS Assistant Golf Coach

Ryan continues to be a foundational part of the success of MHS Golf as he is an avid golfer himself. Each member of the team learns so much about improving their game each season from working alongside Coach Titus.

He is also a wakesurfing enthusiast when he isn't on the course. Coach Titus graduated from Nampa High School and later Boise State with an architectural degree. However, thanks to the 2008 recession altering his career path, Ryan dabbled a little in the construction industry before finding the ideal position he currently holds in the tape market using Amazon.com.

It is exponentially more valuable to the program each year that Coach Titus continues to coach the Meridian High golfers in spite of the increasing demands of his day job.

Assistant Coach - Alvin Toledo
  • Budget Coordinator for Union Pacific Railroad

  • Year #5 as MHS Assistant Golf Coach

Coach Toledo brings an immense amount of golf coaching knowledge and experience to the Meridian High golf program. As a former head golf coach at Vallivue High School with __ years under his belt , Alvin knows how to fine-tune the mechanics of a player's swing. His record-keeping and memory about each player's golf game is truly remarkable.

Only after his work obligations required him to alternate shifts each week did Coach Toledo relinquish his full-time coaching duties at Vallivue. However, he loves the game and coaching kids so much that he committed to volunteering his time on his "off weeks" to helping out the student-athletes at Meridian High.

Assistant Coach - Lance Beeson
  • Safe School Director at Victory Middle School

  • Year #2 as MHS Assistant Golf Coach

Coach Beeson also lived in Kansas for a while, but has his roots in Idaho from long before as both he and his wife, Donna, both graduated from Meridian High School. They have 4 children (RJ, Jackson, Trey, and Lily) ranging from ages 10-15.

Along with helping volunteer his time coaching golf at MHS, Lance is also the head football coach at Victory Middle School. His time working at the middle school allows him to get to know many of our golfers before they ever reach the course at Lakeview. He develops great relationships with kids and knows many of them well already due to his oldest son, RJ, being a sophomore on our team who lettered as a freshman last year.

He is a huge fan of the Kansas City Royals and the Kansas City Chiefs. He is also a well-established world-traveler. Coach Beeson graduated from MidAmerica Nazarene University with his bachelor's in Business Education as well as his MBA.
